Welcome to PSME – CENTRAL LAGUNA Chapter

A duly recognized chapter of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers officially chartered in 1995. Founding chapter president Engr. Edgar Ramillo of San Miguel Rightpak then organized the chapter as a splinter group known before as Unit 2 of the PSME Quezon-Batangas-Laguna chapter. There was a strong desire and need of the founding officers to track its own path and be an independent chapter within PSME.

A majority of its founding members were mechanical engineers of the San Miguel group of companies situated in the Silangan Industrial Estate of Canlubang, Calamba city, Laguna province. Other mechanical engineers from adjacent provincial factories and industrial establishments as far as Batangas, Laguna, and Cavite who wished to join were accepted and sworn in as regular members. From thereon a majority of the chapter’s officers and members upgraded their status to PSME Life Members

From humble beginnings the chapter grew and established a foothold for mechanical engineers in their neck of the woods in South Luzon. More than two decades later, the Central Laguna chapter developed into a strong chapter under the helmsman-ship of its leaders and officers in those many years and up to the present, The PSME Central Laguna chapter is an organization to be reckoned with.

Some of its members have chosen other lines of work while others have by force of circumstance left for other ventures in their professional and personal lives but still kept in touch with the chapter they once called their own.
